Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated fellow Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars by a 3-1 score in the first semi-final of the 2015 MTN FA Cup played at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Friday.

Defender Christopher Bonney was the toast of fans as his brace in the 31st and 62nd minutes set Kotoko on a winning tone.
Aduana Stars managed to pull a goal back in the 80th minute through defender Godfred Saka from the spot after Ahmed Adams was adjudged to have handled the ball in Kotoko’s box.
Kotoko captain Michael Akuffo scored from a sublime free kick in the 82nd minute to put the game beyond the Ogya lads.
Coach David Duncan will be desperate to win the title to appease the fans, who are growing impatient with their patchy run of results in the GPL campaign.
The Kumasi-based club won a treble last season – the MTN FA Cup, the First Capital Plus Premier League and the Super Cup under former coach Mas-Ud Dramani, who parted ways with the outfit last February after a run of poor results in the league.
