Former National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and father of the spouse of Vice President Dr Mahamudu  Bawumia has been appointed as Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The retired banker, Ahmed Rahmadan, becomes the second person from the PNC to serve in the current administration under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Some few months ago, former flagbearer and leader of the PNC, Dr Edward Nasigri Mahama was appointed as an Ambassador-at-large a post that generated turmoil in the party leading to the suspension of its General Secretary, Atik Mohammed.
