Maverick Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to focus on its internal squabbles that are further diving its ranks and leave his beatings to him to grief himself.
He disclosed that the internal divisions which have heightened within the ranks of the NDC following allegations and counter allegations by flagbearer aspirants should be of utmost concern to party functionaries and not how he was subjected to severe beatings by some party hoodlums at Atebubu.
“Concentrate on issues bothering on your party including allegations made my Alban Bagbin and Sylvester Mensah about who becomes flagbearer and leave me out of your discussions. Talk about issues in your family and not what happens in the other man’s yard. Go and mind your own business and let me grief over my beatings”, he disclosed on UTV.
Abronye DC was responding to condemnation by NDC Communications Officer, Nurudeen Abass of the inhumane treatment meted out to the NPP leader linking it to how intolerant the party members could be.
“We need to condemn these acts of lawlessness in the NPP and its pro-vigilante groups. Look at what happened to Abronye DC at Atebubu and he is here with a fractured arm yet no one has been arrested”, he stated on the same platform.
But Abronye DC in a sharp rebuttal asked him not to weep more than the bereaved but concentrate on how members in his party will incur the wrath of the Independent Special Prosecutor for siphoning state funds with dubious contracts.
He insists that some adverse findings have been made against such persons he refused to name but insisted they will be hurled before the law courts to face various charges of corruption.
