MyNewsGh.com can authoritatively confirm that under the Akufo-Addo government’s one district one factory flagship program, all is set for the construction of a 28 million Euros Waste Energy Plant in the Ga Central Municipality.
A company, Rengernec Limited and Catalyst Group are spearheading the multimillion Euro waste energy project for government.
This was confirmed to MyNewsG.com by the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga Central, Dr Amankwaa
He said as part of the government’s much-touted one-district one-factory program; the Assembly hopes to create some 500 direct jobs and a double number of indirect jobs for the youth of the area.
The 28 million Euro Waste to Energy Plant is being sighted at Ablekuma-Joma.
He said if all approvals are given, the projects will create some 500 direct and indirect jobs.
Readers will recall a news item where a senior Lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Dr. Ahmed Jinapor, says he will find it extremely difficult to believe if the President Akufo-Addo-led administration will achieve its sets targets for the One-District-One-Factory flagship project by the year 2020.
“I don’t want to sound cynical but I doubt if this administration will be able to put up 200 factories by 2020 by the definition of a factory”, he noted.
The government under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo intends to set up a factory in each of the 216 districts of the country.
Dr Mustapha Abdul Hamid, the Minister of Information had disputed that pessimism long before it emerged.
According to him, government will ‘insha Allah’ fulfill all of its promises particularly the 1D1F, 1V1D among others.
MyNewsGh.com will be monitoring developments and report accordingly.
