Wife of Lawyer Tony Lithur, Nana Oye Lithur has written a media response to issues surrounding her infidelity and impending divorce, describing the allegations, as enumerated by her husband and as ‘unfortunate’.
Touting her 25 years standing as a lawyer, Mrs Lithur who was also appointed Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection under the John Mahama administration said she trusts the “Legal system and God Almighty to vindicate the truth” on the matter, which among others include her infidelity to her husband.
MyNewsGH.com yesternight exclusively broke news about the divorce between respected Lawyers Tony Lithur and his wife, Nana Oye Lithur and are set to part ways.
We declined to publish at the time all the information we have on the issue, including the fact that Nana Oye Lithur showed her husband ‘pepper’ in the marital home.
We decided to go all out today due to questions that have been asked about whether what we published, which went viral consequently, was true or not. Now it has been confirmed.
In documents in our possession stating the accusations of Mr Lithur against his wife of 20 years, Mrs Oye Lithur has been ALLEGED to have had or is still having a series of amorous affairs with men, beginning with her first Employer, the late Kenneth Laryea at Laryea & Co Law Firm.
Her husband, Mr Lithur says he one time caught them together in a very comprising position, and quickly shut the door and left.
On the marital bed together with her husband, Mrs Lithur talks to men late into the night and he hears all the conversation including one with Sam Cudjoe who always ends with ‘I love you Onu’, ‘Onu’ being Ga and Oye Lithur responding ‘Me too’, even though they are both married. It is noted in the petition that Samuel Cudjoe’s marriage has broken down, and it was noted that Nana Oye Lithur continues to date him. They met at Law Firm Law Trust and he continues to call her at ‘ungodly’ hours even as her husband has warned her persistently to stop him.
In what her husband calls ‘outside’ gentility, home dry, she lives a double life. Mr Lithur said he has forcefully tried at all times, for the sake of their children to keep things going but is unable to at the moment as she abuses him at the least chance, including damaging his reputation within their mutual circle of friends that he is a ‘wife-beater’ when he has never raised his hand ever against her.
He said Nana Oye Lithur, since their marriage has never done or used her money to buy ANYTHING WHATSOEVER in the home, right from the children, to she herself, house maid, food- EVERYTHING- This will be fully understood when MyNewsGH.com’s readers go through the petition. She has NEVER raised a pesewa to say she wanted to help with ANYTHING, even when she knows he’s in difficulties. You should read petition to understand the contexts.
But Mrs Lithur has dismissed all of that.
“Everyone who knows me and everything I stand for knows that the unfortunate allegations against me can not be true.” She wrote.
“As a lawyer of 25 years standing, I have a firm believe in our legal system and God Almighty to vindicate the truth”, she added.
She, like her husband called for people to respect their and their children’s privacy as she called for prayers for strength in this challenging time.
