The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Former Majority Leader of Ghana’s Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has taken a swipe at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members who term every project yet to be commissioned as “Mahama’s legacy” indicating there was no better legacy bequeathed the party by former President John Dramani Mahama.

In a meeting with executives of five constituencies (Akatsi North and South and the three Tongu constituencies) at a designated venue in Sogakope covered by MyNewsGh.com’s Fred Duhoe, he did not mince words in throwing jabs at former President John Dramani Mahama.

“The legacy we left was that of poverty, corruption, hardship and worse of all a one million vote gap deficit,” he said.

The Nadowli Kaleo MP who is seeking to lead the opposition party NDC outlined among other things the creation of offices in the various constituencies for members of parliament.

This he believes will draw the people’s representatives much closer and accessible to them.

“Under my leadership, every MP will have an office in his constituency and have people who go round to gather information for him and this will make the MP know what pertains on the ground to be in the position to addressing them” he added.

As part of activities to lead the party as its flag bearer in the 2020 elections, Bagbin is meeting with all delegates across the Volta region to seek their blessings.

The over 20-years Member of Parliament said he will run an all-inclusive government by bringing on board all neglected party members especially former president Jerry John Rawlings stating vehemently “the NDC cannot win power without the founder”.

He continued “NPP government is doing all they can to exhume JB Danquah’s history just to remind us of his existence. We have our party founder (Jerry Rawlings) alive yet we want to do away with him, how can we succeed” he quizzed.
