The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Porturphy has been sued by the state for unlawfully possessing government cars.

Head of government vehicles taskforce, Dasebre Ahenkora who disclosed this to Adom News said Kofi Porturphy has 8 of the cars including a v8.

Dasebre Ahenkora explained that the task force also learnt the NDC Chairman was renting some of the vehicles in his possession to people.

He said his outfit has asked Mr Porturphy to bring the cars but he has refused, a situation he says has forced them to take him to court.

Dasebre Ahenkora added that some former government appointees are still keeping government cars.

He noted that even some NDC Executives and presidential staffers have some of the vehicles in their possession.

“641 vehicles were declared missing by the government but we have been able to retrieve only 63, of which 40 were retrieved last year and 23, this year,” he said.
