Hearts of Oak’s Board Member, Alhaji Akambi has denied the alleged GH¢ 200.00 he had received from Kuuku Bartels, President of Nkoranza Warriors.
Some faction of the media and supporters of Hearts of Oak have fingered Alhaji Akambi in an unethical manner for receiving a gift of ¢200.00, from the President of Nkoranza Warriors.
Other reports state that Hearts of Oak’s biggest share holder Togbe Afede XIV has exonerated Akambi from any wrongdoing but still issues keep cropping up as to what exactly transpired.
Alhaji Akambi in a bid to bring clarity has taken to the media to state emphatically that he had taken no money from Kuuku Bartels.
Akanbi on Fox FM explained – “I did not take money from Kuuku Bartels. There is inconsistency in the whole matter. Kuuku said on air sometime ago that he gave me money but was not bribe, meanwhile he also said on a different platform that he has not given me money before. There is inconsistency in the matter.”
Alhaji Akambi concluded by saying “I want to make it clear that I did not take money from Kuuku Bartels.” – Akambi told Foxx FM
Kuuku Bartels, President of Nkoranza Warriors met with Hearts of Oak’s leadership during their discussion regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Sarkodie who would later join Asante Kotoko.
After the meeting, Bartels was given ¢500.00 as transportation by Hearts of Oak and reports claims, Kuuku Bartels gifted Alhaji Akambi ¢200.00 out of the amount which many claims it’s unethical for Akambi to have received the cash from Bartels.
Akambi has been exonerated afterwards by the Phobian too hierarchy yet the issues seem not dying anytime soon.
