French-Malian striker Frederic Kanoute has advised Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey to stay with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Laliga.
Partey has been very instrumental for Atletico Madrid this season which has seen clubs wanting his signature.
He has been heavily linked to English Premier League outfit Arsenal as he has reportedly refused to extend his contract with Atletico Madrid.
Though Arsenal are favorite to land the Services of the Black Stars midfielder, they will face a keen competition from French Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint Germain who are ready to trigger the £45.5m release clause of the player.
However, Frederic Kanoute who has been impressed with Partey’s performance this season has advised the Ghanaian midfielder to stay with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Laliga.
“There are a few exciting [African] players in the Laliga in my opinion”, Kanoute told Goal.
“I really like Thomas [Partey] of Atletico Madrid. He’s a player who is going to keep improving, and there even been rumours of him leaving to other clubs.
“We hope to keep him in the Laliga as long as possible. We should stay”, Kanoute added.
