Contract of four players at AshantiGold Sporting Club has expired.
According to reports in the local media, the four players Latif Anabila, Shafiu Mumuni, James Akaminko and Appiah McCarthy have successfully finished their stay at the club.
It is reported that, management of the Obuasi based club are keen on renewing the contract of the four players despite offers from clubs locally and abroad.
Midfielder, Appiah McCarthy is said to have entered contract extension talks with the management of AshantiGold and could put pen to paper for the club in the coming days.
Shafiu Mumuni, on the other hand, has reportedly received a bumper offer from Asante Kotoko who want to sign him for their CAF Champions League campaign.
The likes of Latif Anabila and James Akaminko are in contract talks with the management of AshantiGold SC despite interest from clubs to secure their signatures.
Should Shafiu Mumuni exit the club for Asante Kotoko, it is reported that, AshantiGold SC will be going for Hearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso as replacement.
Meanwhile, AshantiGold SC are preparing for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign and have begun testing their players before resumption of training.
