Ghanaian boxer, Patrick Allotey will finished serving his six months ban imposed on him by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

Allotey had his boxing license suspended for six months after assaulting Asante Kotoko fan Michael Siaw Agyemang at the Accra Sports Stadium during Asante Kotoko game against bitterest rival Hearts of Oak.

The incident happened in February and it is expected to end midnight of August 6, 2020.

According quotes scribed by ghanasportspage, the President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Mr. Peter Zwennes confirmed that the ban on Patrick Allotey will automatically be lifted after today.

“If the six months has elapsed then of course the ban is lifted. Once the six months is up, automatically the ban is lifted”, he confirmed.

“What it means is that after today’s date he is at liberty to resume his professional career except that the covid has also brought everything to a halt”, he affirmed.

“There’s nothing required of him. I suppose all this while he should have been training any way, as a professional boxer he needs to keep himself in shape. The ban did not stop him from keeping himself fit and training so I suppose he should be ready to go”, he concluded.
