Ghana Premier League side, Elmina Sharks have announced changes in their captaincy ahead of the new league season.

The Elmina-based club who are preparing to make an impact in the 2020/21 league season have named defender Ishmael Hammond as their new captain.

The former Medeama Sporting Club defender has taken over from long serving captain Daniel Obeng Crentsil who has left the club for trials outside.

Hammond will be assisted by Emmanuel Addington.

Before the 2019/20 league season was truncated, Samuel Arthur was serving as the deputy skipper but has been elevated to a position of general captain whiles Addington takes over Arthur’s former position.

Elmina Sharks will begin the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season with a trip to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to face regional rivals Ebusua Dwarfs.
