Ghana has dropped two places in the FIFA rankings for the month of October.

The West African country has dropped two places from 46th to 48th in the latest rankings released by the football world governing body.

Ghana accumulated 1439 points in the lastest rankings.

Ghana engaged Mali and Qatar in friendlies in Turkey earlier this month as part of preparations ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifier against Sudan in November.

Ghana was beaten 3:0 by Mali but recovered from the defeat to walloped Qatar 5:1 in the second friendly game.

On the African continent, Ghana placed sixth behind Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria and Morocco.
