Emmanuel Clottey was the saviour for Berekum Chelsea in their 1:1 draw against Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.
The experienced striker scored a late sumptuous free-kick to save the home team from a painful defeat against Asante Kotoko in week two of the Ghana Premier League.
In-form Kwame Opoku opened the score for Asante Kotoko in just eighteen minutes into the first half.
Opoku fed on a superb pass from Osman Ibrahim to score the opener for Asante Kotoko.
Despite efforts from Berekum Chelsea to snatch the equalizer, the first half ended 0:1 advantage the visitors.
The second half begun with both clubs creating glaring chances but failed to find the back of the net.
But in the additional time, Emmanuel Clottey netted the equalizer for Berekum Chelsea from a sumptuous free-kick to end the game 1:1.
Asante Kotoko will continue the search for first win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League as they host Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium next weekend whiles Berekum Chelsea will travel to Cape Coast to face Ebusua Dwarfs.
