Legon Cities FC starman Asamoah Gyan has assured the supporters of the club that he will start bagging in the goals for the club very soon.
The former Sunderland attacker made his debut for Legon Cities last weekend against Medeama Sporting Club in week three of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Gyan was very impressive in the few minutes that he was introduced into the game that ended in a goalless.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Asamoah Gyan who has been off the pitch for almost eleven months believes the best of him is yet to come and he will soon start scoring for Legon Cities FC as expected of him.
“I’m just enjoying my football, I just want to enjoy myself, I want to help Legon Cities. This is my new club so I just want to be playing football,” he told reporters after the game.
“As a striker, of course, people might be expecting goals from me but the goals will come.
Legon Cities FC are yet to record a win after losing a game and drawing two in the ongoing league season but Asamoah Gyan is of the view that the team will need enough time since most of the players including himself are new.
“We still working, if you watch Legon Cities I think 85% of our players are new, we still getting to know each other, “Gyan said.
“Tactically we are working but I think now we are understanding what we want to do. The technical team have done a great job. It’s been a short while but now they are beginning to understand what is at stake. So, we just hope the next game goes well.”
Legon Cities FC are expected to get a positive result at Dawu where they will be facing Dreams FC in week four of the Ghana Premier League
