The playing body and technical team of Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies have undergone a successful coronavirus testing on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
The test forms part of the team’s preparations ahead of the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League campaign.
The entire playing body and the technical bench took part in the testing as mandated by the Ghana FA and CAF.
Hasaacas Ladies have been chosen by the Ghana FA to represent the West African country in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Ghana FA settled on Hasaacas Ladies after receiving a notification from the sub continental football governing body, the West African Football Union – B (WAFU B) on submission of name of the representing club by close of business, March 31, 2021.
The Ghana FA chose Hasaacas Ladies based on article 2 section 2.3 of the CAF Women’s Champions League 2021 Regulation which permits the GFA Executive Council to decide on who represents Member Associations in the Champions League.
Hasaacas Ladies have been chosen to represent Ghana after winning the GFA Normalization Special Competition after beating Ampem Dakoaa Ladies in the finals.
The club is expected to begin the campaign by participating in the qualifying phase, WAFU Regional championship coming up in June 2021 before progressing to the next stage.
